Head of Business Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to join our team at our Balewadi, Pune office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the IT industry, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional skills in email marketing, lead generation, cold calling, data generation, team leadership, and market research. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and leading a team of business development professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and evaluate business potential.
  • Create and manage business development budgets and forecasts.

Lead Generation and Client Acquisition:

  • Oversee the generation of leads through various channels including email marketing, cold calling, and other outbound methods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the business development team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team, and regularly review performance.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Utilize data and insights to inform business development strategies and decision-making.
  • Prepare and present reports on market conditions and business development activities.

Email Marketing and Campaign Management:

  • Design and execute effective email marketing campaigns to engage potential clients and generate leads.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, and optimize strategies for better results.

Data Generation and Analysis:

  • Oversee the generation and management of data related to leads, prospects, and market research.
  • Use data-driven approaches to enhance business development strategies and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in business development within the IT industry.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Marketing Skills: Proficiency in email marketing, lead generation, and cold calling.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough market research and data analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree in B.sc Computer science, B.E, B.Tech, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. An MBA would be an added advantage.
